Gas Rebate Credit Cards and Descending Fuel Prices Equal More Savings on Gas
Using gas rebate credit cards, especially with descending fuel prices, gives consumers an opportunity to further their gas savings. National gas prices have taken a plunge for the fifth straight week and are still on the decline. As of August 7, 2008, gas per barrel dipped to an average of $118.57. Though not the sole factor, one reason we are seeing a drop in prices is due to the fact that consumer demand for gas is down.
Consumers are to be commended for their continued efforts to save on gas such as traveling less often and changing their driving habits. We are also riding bikes and walking more…which makes me curious as to whether there will be a study to see if implementing those measures, as a result of high gas prices, have decreased our waistlines as well. Many have also increased their savings by using gas reward cards and credit cards to save on gas. That said, due to this weeks decline, you may want to hold off on filling up today, so you can increase your gas savings even further tomorrow.
Even though we have come together as consumers and have made our voices known, and it has resulted in plummeting gas prices, it is important that we do not fall into the trap of complacency. Pay special attention to the weather when contemplating the notion of holding off on buying gasoline. It is hurricane season and when there are disturbances in the Gulf of Mexico, depending on their location and whether ideal conditions exist that increase the likelihood of a hurricane, companies get nervous and gas prices may increase. Also factor in political tensions in the Middle East as gas prices are determined by those too.
Knowledge is power. By staying up-to-date with everything occurring around the world, consumers will be able to continue making smart financial decisions.

If you don’t own any equipment you could borrow from a friend or family member or even find a cheap set of those games and buy them yourself using the money you’ve saved on gas due to dwindling prices.
