Gas Savings While Traveling: Gas Rebate Credit Cards and Finding the Cheapest Gas Station Prices

We still have a few weeks left before summer vacation ends for millions of school age children across the United States which leaves plenty of time to visit family, take a trip to historical sites, camp in another state, visit a theme park, and more. Since gas prices are continuing to drop, it is the perfect time for those who held off taking a vacation earlier this summer, thanks to astronomical gasoline costs, to take one.

There are a myriad of websites that list gas stations and their prices according to city, state, and zip codes. Take advantage of this free information, available literally at your fingertips, and make your travel plans to not only save money on gas, but time as well. Using a search engine, type in “cheapest gas prices in your area” and you’ll instantly have a list of websites that will give you the information you need. Mapquest also lists gas station prices, making it even easier to have your gas station stops coincide with your travel plans.

If you have a BP Visa Card, even better! Remember to fill-up this summer when your gas tank hits between the half and three quarters of tank mark. Why? Even the best of cars have been known to break down during the summer, not to mention traffic jams. In short, it is better to be safe then sorry.
